Milwaukee Dance Theatre Network (MDTN) invites dancers, movement-based actors, and the greater Milwaukee community to participate in Milwaukee Dance + Theatre Community Day at Lynden Sculpture Garden. Join in for an afternoon for community, connection, and collaborative practice in the realms of Theatre + Dance. HOW TO MAKE A FLASH GATHERING/DANCE
Betty Salamun, DanceCircus Artistic Director, loves making dances that invite everyone into the dance. Fun and easy flash mobs do not require 'dance' skills. In this workshop we will build (really short) flash dances from pedestrian movement and community ideas. SIGN UP

DEVISING PHYSICAL THEATRE
Participants will be introduced to physical theatre devising techniques that engage creative muscles and generate movement. They will then work collaboratively to create brief performance sketches and share/discuss their work with the group. SIGN UP

Enter into evening with a gentle practice of listening, observing and moving with place, both interior and exterior. Activities will include: sound walks, glacially paced movement, and sharing in conversation, how we are experiencing place. SIGN UP
